We have been hard at work getting ready for the NGV Studio show which opens this weekend.

You can check all the info here, but basically we are moving our studio into the National Gallery of Victoria for a month… Anyone who’s ever been into our studio, or seen the photos in our book can imagine just how much of a head fuck this is. Good times though.

Apart form the working studio we are also hanging a selection of artworks from over the last 10 years, plus a whole heap of other stuff form the studio that kind of makes it what it is. We will also be working on producing new artworks while our studio is set up at the NGV and having a closing exhibition at the end of our time there.

We also have one more surprise up out sleeve…. We always try and push ourselves when we get an opportunity like this and hopefully this will all come together. l won’t be giving it away here, you’ll need to come down to the NGV on the weekend to check it out.

Here’s a bit of a preview of the prep work.

Had a big day today down at the NGV and got all the painting done on the wall.

The painting is all done but the wall is far from finished. You’ll have to wait and see, all is not as it seems.

Spent the day down at the NGV Studio at Fed Square getting ready for the wall today. We arrived to find our stash of Ironlak with a note on it that read ‘Don’t throw out’. Got the music on and the whole wall ready to go for tomorrow, it’s all in the prep for this one.

We start getting messy tomorrow, come by if you’re in the city. It’s kind of hard to spot but we’ll be on the left hand side as you walk into the Atrium on your way into the gallery.

Follow Meggs on twitter if you want to check the progress during the day.

Everfresh has be invited by the National Gallery of Victoria to be part of the new space soon to open at Fed Square called the NGVSTUDIO. The space will be something new for the NGV and we are looking forward to what’s going to be happening there when it opens up this year.

We will be painting the inside of the atrium while renovations take place, the wall will be up for a month then another crew will come in and paint. Kind of like a city laneway but in a national gallery, if that makes sense. F1 Crew went first and you can check out their wall here on Sirum’s blog, very fresh.

We have something a little different planned for this project, not our normal thing, so it will be interesting to see how it all turns out. We also have melbourne girl Miso coming along to help out which will be the first time we have worked with her on a wall.

Check the progress here on the blog, but you can also check out the NGV Facebook & NGV Twitter Meggs will also be updating his twitter here.

So we need your help in promoting this online to convince the NGV that they should give us a exhibtion later in the year in the new NGVstudio space
So hit up the NGV Facebook or If you have a twitter please use the #ngvstudio tag

Will be starting painting this Sunday, come down and say hi.
